Thread Starter
THE COLDEST AIRMASS OF THE EARLY AUTUMN SEASON WILL ARRIVE TODAY... BUT WILL BE MOST NOTICEABLE TONIGHT. HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON ARE EXPECTED TO AVERAGE 5 TO 10 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL... WHILE OVERNIGHT LOWS THURSDAY NIGHT ARE EXPECTED TO DROP INTO THE MID AND UPPER 30S IN THE OUTLYING SUBURBS... TO THE MID 40S IN URBAN AREAS. SPOTTY FROST IS POSSIBLE FRIDAY MORNING IN SOME OF THE NORMALLY COLDER LOCATIONS...

2" of snow on the ground this morning. Earliest snow that has stuck on the ground in many years. I was just up to my construction site where the guys are putting in the footer and it snowed so hard I couldn't see the neighbors house. Lake effect because the sun is back out now. Warming trend tomorrow but what a start to the season.
