Squaw Launches New Ski & Snowboard Camp for Teen Shredders
Didn't know if this should go in the instruction forum or the resort forum. Found this at First Tracks:http://www.firsttracksonline.com/ind...News&topicid=5

Squaw Valley, CA - For the 2006/2007 ski and snowboard season, California's Squaw Valley USA will introduce Squaw Sessions, a ski and snowboard camp for teens, offered during holidays and peak periods. Not your average ski school, Squaw Sessions will teach teens about the origins of the freeride movement at the Lake Tahoe-area resort, as well as tools to master terrain park and big mountain skiing and riding. Beginners need not apply; Squaw Sessions is for burgeoning rippers who are not afraid to shred off-piste.
Specifically designed for ski and snowboard crazed 13 to 17 year-olds, Squaw Sessions will provide the newschool breed with the opportunity to experience Squaw Valley’s freeride culture firsthand. Teens will meet their coaches in the morning and be placed in groups based on ability. As a group, the teens will decide together what they want to work on that day. Whether they fantasize about conquering steep “big mountain” lines, like Shane McConkey or Jeremy Jones, or jibbing and jumping in one of Squaw Valley’s three terrain parks, like CR Johnson or Eric Messier, Squaw Sessions is the open window into a young shred-dog’s dream.
They say the proof is in the pudding and in Squaw’s case, the ingredients to the pudding is three scoops of the world’s best skiers and a couple handfuls of the world’s top snowboarders. Whether they contract Squaw Valley gnarliness through the process of Tahoe-born-and-bred osmosis or, like pigs to mud, were drawn to Squallywood by an unbeknownst magnetic force, it is no secret that many of the best of the best call Squaw Valley home. A sampling from that group of skiers and riders will serve as Squaw Sessions coaches for the teen rippers.
Appropriately, the camp’s head coach is one of park skiing’s pioneers, Evan Raps. Evan along with special guest coaches from Squaw Valley’s famed Freeride Team (Ingrid Backstrom, Jeremy Jones, Tanner Rainville, Nate Holland, Michelle Parker and more) will give teens a whole new appreciation for skiing and riding, not to mention, a brush with snow sport celebrity. Squaw Sessions participants who improve or impress exceptionally will not go unrewarded; each week there will be camp giveaways like snowboards, twin tip skis, and goggles from Electric.
In its inaugural season, Squaw Sessions will take place over two weeks during Christmas and New Year’s (Dec. 25-Jan. 7), MLK Weekend (Jan. 13-15), nine days around Presidents’ Day (Feb. 17-Feb. 25), and the weekend of Easter (Apr. 7-8). The camp will be offered in one full day session, which means teens are not bound to a week-long program and can decide to participate in Squaw Sessions one day and spend the next day on the hill with mom and dad (no doubt, showing them a thing or two).

Sounds pretty good. I especially like the fact that they are going to cover a bit of "history", that's a cool twist.
