VA ... I have no doubt about either. Seriously though, the Father Time quip was totally made in good fun, but this guy does remind me of a ski instructor I met at Wolf Creek, Co about 4-5 years ago. His name was Rick, and he was a gnarly older guy, with a beard (albeit sans to your and the above guy's length), but he skied like a demon ... fast, smooth, and never any wasted motion.
And the kind of guy, like Garry Z's comment, you'd be proud to ski with and buy a beer for at the end of the day.
