Good luck with that...If I could find them for $600 I'd buy them like yesterday.
Actually I just went on ebay and there's a pair in 162cm and 182cm w/bindings for $600. Don't know about shipping to Portugal though.

By the way, I lived in Porto when I was about 12 years old for about a year.

Welcome aboard.

Look in our gear swap . There is a pair of 182's
for 475$
If you were a bigger guy I would jump on that deal . If you are not i'd wait. .
It is a fairly stiff ski and needs some weight to bend it.

Keep looking on here, there are some that pop up. I got lucky and got a steal from a forum member on basically brand new (4 runs) 168 Allstars for $475 shipped.

They do seem to be a popular ski and prices don't seem to be coming down at all.

Well i guess i will buy for 650$...
I just got one question... What is the PCOS system? It costs 50$... it is worth it?
PCOS is a stabilizer arm that is dampened with a piston at the binding. It does make a difference in the behavior of the ski at higher speeds by dampening oscillations in the tip. I owned the 6 Stars and skied them with and without the PCOS. I thought it was a worthwhile addition.

I have scanned and posted the Marker binding technical manual here: http://www.orbitfiles.com/download/id91197022 521 Kb

The 2005-2006 Volkl Reference Manual is here http://www.orbitfiles.com/download/id91187809 21 MB

I am indeed a "bigger" guy...I'm 210lbs, 5' 10", although I'm hoping to be closer to 185lbs by next season which I think will still qualify me as a bigger guy.

I did when I was younger, but I actually spoke portuguese from Brazil, which as you know is quite different...As of now, I haven't spoke a word in over 10 years, so I don't know if I could carry a conversation at this point.

I am about your same weight and I ski the 175. I think i could easliy have bought the 182 but it wasn't available after I went to pick up what was told to me on the phone as 182.s
However I am very happy with them and think this would be your best size. I wouldn't go any shorter.

The pcos dampens the forward edge forces with a small piston that retreats when a lot of forward pressure it applied. It is supposed to be a hard snow carving aid. I ski with them and find the Allstar superior to any ski I have skied on ice and other hard snow conditions. In soft snow and powder it doesn't come into play .
This ski will make you smile no matter what the condiitons and on ice or very hard pack you will have superior edge hold and control.
If you buy this ski for these type of conditions you will not be disappointed

Agreed here, but I'll go further to say that they do well in soft snow too. This ski has IMMENSE edge hold. I'm an east coast skier and I demo'd them in Utah (bought shortly thereafter from a forum member) and I cannot wait to see how they perform on ice/hard pack.

You are going to have the biggest smile on your face when you do . I wish I could be there to see it.
I skied these in all conditions had found them worthy at every test
