It's August and I'm thinking about skiing/boarding already. Insane eh? Anyway... onto this topic. I bought my waxing iron from Racewax.com off eBay. (The so-called High Performance one) It was green and labelled "Wintersteiger".. Now here's the kicker.
Toko Mouse (Yellow one)
Vittora from Japan (Orange one - seen on racewax.com right now)
Wintersteiger, one of them European countries (Green one)
M something, Italian brand (Blue one)
They're all the same iron. One OEM company makes them and they change the colours, put on the labels, etc.. Great iron... my first iron for waxing though, so I can't say if it's "better" than the other irons... but it's really easy to use. Pricing for the Toko is like... $75 CDN from www.skiwax.ca
(let's say it's 1 to 1 exchange rate)... the Vittora one was like $90 USD on eBay from some store... and the M something was around $80 CDN over in some store in Calgary. I bought the cheap one from Racewax.com... around the price he has now on his site.. $45 (might have been $50 for me actually) ...
