This you MUST do.
It could be the bear in the logo. Very simple. It would speak loudly and be readily identifiable

Ballcap - if it is made of something breathable - my balding pate sweats too much.
Ball cap is listed in the survey. It would help if people voted for the items that are listed and not just mention the item in a post. I will be mining the post for unlisted items but have to assume I'm getting an accurate count for the listed items.

I agree with good quality ski straps

I don't think anyone has mentioned zip mock turtle necks with a logo on the collar. that's all I wear when I ski. I have Dynastar and Lange logos, since I'm a rep.

I hate long sleeve T-shirts. Short sleeves only.

Helmet stickers, which I mostly use on my ski tube are good. They can also be applied to skis

I like fleeces also, but I'm a fan of the short collar, not the high collar, although I have and wear both.

How about a sew-on patch, like the PSIA patch that they put on Dale sweaters and other middle and outer layers (fleeces, jacket sleeves, etc). They can also be sewn onto ski packs (backpacks). These are much easier to see from a distance than a pin or collar logo.

If you are an instructor, take a look at the PSIA web site for ideas. If not, just do web searches for company/corporate branding or identification, or something along those lines. There are companies that specialize in creating schwag.

This has been a helpful source of information. I'd like to give you all some information that will help make some sense of what initially gets offered for purchase.

First, some quick facts.
  • The demand for Epic swag is not easy to guage.
  • The initial capitalization is not without limits.
  • Some items require significant minimum orders.
As such, it makes sense to begin modestly.

Some items that are currently being researched are:
  • Long sleeve tees
  • Short sleeve tees
  • Ball caps
  • Zippered hoodies
  • Ski Straps
  • Mouse pads
  • Pins
  • Helmet stickers
  • Sports bottles
  • Lift ticket retainers
  • Lanyards
It is not likely that all of these items will be offered at first, nor is it lilely that this is all that will ever be offered.

It's my desire to be able to fill orders before Loveland opens.

It would be logical to identify the item that would sell quickly and I see that as the pin
The ski straps would not take a large initial investment and I think they would sell quickly also

The hoody and the ball cap would make a good pair for offering but would take a larger investment .
Stickers are another lower cost offering.
Either expand later into the tee shirts or offer them instead of the hoody.
I think you will have to made hard choices . When you have the prices resonably set and do preorders to guage the demand you will have a clearer picture.
I think the hoody and the cap would sell well

How 'bout preorders. I would gladly order a ball cap or helmet sticker ahead of the actual availability to help with capitalization.

I think that starting with the smaller offerings is going to be fine with most bears
I'd like to see the ski pass holders, pins, ski straps, stickers.
All reasonable

Just a side note:
Two things you didn't include on your list which is something I see(and wear) as a combination. Turtle neck with a logo on the collar, and a vest.
Of course these wouldn't be offered together, but it is something you see everywhere when you're skiing.

On embroidered items, the vendor I'm talking to is very flexible. It may be possible to offer certain items without having to commit to carrying inventory, on an "allow x weeks for delivery" basis.
