I will be moving to Colorado in a few weeks and would like to purchase 05-06 skis while they are still on sale and available (in michigan). I skied as a child and picked it up again in 2004 while living in New Zealand. I'm 26, 5'5 and 120 and consider myself an intermediate skier - i love cruisy, groomed blue and black runs, but also spend some time off the groomers with my more advanced ski buddies. I will be purchasing the Colorado pass so I will mostly be skiing at arapahoe, breck and keystone. A friend recommended a wider ski (72mm) for the snow in CO but I also want to work on my carving so an all-purpose, all-mountain ski would be great. I know demoing (sp?) is a really good idea but at the low prices now available, I'm willing to take a chance. Here is what I've looked into so far: K2 true love and one love, Salomen siam n7, fischer vision 73, and volkl attiva ac2. I don't want a ski that's too advanced for my level (ie: stiff and unforgiving) but I also don't want something I will grow out of in one season. Any suggestions??
