New ski poles

I just got some nice Leki alu-carbon ski poles and the baskets they sent with them are tiny.
I don't see the idea for this.
In light deep snow they would be nearly useless but in most other types of snow they would be fine.
Why don't they use a bigger one for a better all purpose basket?
Or I am just being set up to buy the bigger ones and ring up another sale?

I thank SSH for the recomendation . They are awesome. Thanks Steve, you were right on this time .

You got your self some racing poles. Those small baskets decrease your drag coefficient by .0154%

The baskets are an easy swap, I believe.

Actually, if you have the one-piece bottom ferrules that are glued onto the main shaft, look for the older Leki BC/trekking powder basket with the internal nylon strap.

- Folds for packing
- Always flat on the snow no matter the pole tilt.
