Colin Young 1973-2006
This is Colin's older brother Chris... Thanks for spreading the word about Colin's passing. The family would like to thank all the beautiful messages and condolenses sent in to us about Colin, and very special thanks for any and all contributions made. We were shocked by how everybody has rallied together to ensure Colin and LiMoy's kids, Noah (6.5 yrs) and Camryn (2.5 yrs) will be taken care of for the future.
I always knew Colin was very special, but to see and hear it from so many people from all over the world – it's nothing short of breathtaking. There wasn't one message in the bunch that didn't mention Colin's smile and laugh – he'd be happy to be remembered that way.
In the title above I've corrected the years. Colin was born July 7, 1973, and passed on July 1, 2006, just days before he would have turned 33. Never, ever did we imagine losing him this early.
I've set up a memorial photo gallery of Colin, with family and friends on Flickr, you can see it here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/colinyoung_memorial/
If you have any photos or stories you'd like to contribute, please email them to 'remembercolin [at] kinkdesign.com' and i'll add them to the mix. If you could send along a quick description or names with the photo(s), that would be helpful. We're trying to gather as many photos and stories about Colin as we can to pass them onto the kids so they know how awesome their dad was, as they're both young enough they won't remember much of the time they knew him. I'll continue to work on this gallery in the months and years to come, but there's already over 100 photos for you to remember him by. Feel free to leave notes on the Flickr site, or if you can help identifying people, we'd love that.
For anybody looking for info about Colin's memorial in Golden, BC, it will be happening in the afternoon on Monday, July 24, 2006 at the Eagle's Eye on top of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. If you're looking for more specific information about it, I'm sure a call to either Kicking Horse or Wet N' Wild Adventures would help, as I'm sure they will have all the latest info, and I'll try to remember to post any new info here.
Colin's entire family will be at the memorial, including his children. We look forward to meeting and talking with you all.
