Even on weekdays it can get a little crazy early in the season. My usual tactic is to be on the first lift, ski until the maze gets crowded, then make a judgement whether it is time to bail based on the quality of the skiers on the hill. No point in getting clocked early on. Also, the man made snow gets glazed pretty quickly.
Drove over to Copper this morning. Snowmaking is starting to inch it's way down the mountain. Copperopolis (where the race teams have exclusive rights) looked well covered. They were starting to work on Rhapsody (just below the Solitude Station restaurant) but there is still along way to go. Supposed to be in the 60's up here this weekend.
