I (think) I decided what my quiver will be of 07! - Page 2

Due to my "connections", I plan on staying in the Atomic, K2, Nordica lines.

In a 98 waisted ski, I am seeing tips from 115 to 125. Any thoughts on this? I plan on being in the trees with them, am I right to think the more sidecut will be better?

Those are my thoughts as well:

The Nordica Enforcer is 135-98-125 and has a radius of 19 in the 177 length.

All other factors being equal, they look like they have the best agility/float ratio of the ones you mentioned.

I have heard that the Seths are pretty agile in the 179 length (21m radius) but the Atomic w/ a similar width, the Sugar Daddy (99mm) has a radius of 28m in the 173cm length.

How much of that 177c length on the enforcer is tail? I skied with a guy last season out west who had 177 BC's and the running surface on them was less than 170cm... making for a less stable ski. That factor is why I would feel confident on a 185 Blower...

With those big turned up tails, I am thinking in the low 180's for lengths.

Stability vs Agility

Does anyone have the actual running length for the following:

Nordica Blowers;
Nordica Enforcers;
K2 Seth;
K2 Chief;
Volkl Mantra;
Volkl Gotama;
Line Phrophet 100; and
Blizzard Titan Nine 181?

I know there is a huge variation between manufactures on stated vs actual length. For instance a 2006 K2 Outlaw that is labeled a 174 measures 177 tip to tail, possible to compensate for the lost surface due to the twin tip design. Correction: semi twin design.

additional possibilities

More skis from the same genre:

185 Armarda ARV
181 Scott P4
177 Stockli Stormrider TT
185 Dp Wailer, three flex

Anyone been on any of these yet??

Stay away form Scott im my opinon they shold stay with poles. I've personally seen plenty that have delaminated after two-three days skiing as well as to test skiers who snaped theirs. May be different for the newer moddles (pray to god), there are plenty of better skis out ther so... Nick

Looking the do more powder/all mt. skiing. Doing several trips into BC and Alberta. Me: skiing 40 yrs, raced 25 plus, advanced skier, can ski just about anything if i want to. Age taking a little of the daring out of me. I really listen to the advice on epic, thanks. Pete

Anyone interested in the 179 bros on the EC can contact me for Demos, as I have a shiny demo pair in my basement. I also love my bros on the EC, but I'm an owner, so you may not trust me as much .
