Grew up on Vashon before and during K2. While we were proud of K2, Vashon has never been a business environment. It has been a place to grow strawberries, collect oddballs, count the days passing and party. Most importantly, when you arrive on Vashon, you can probably detect a discernable drop in blood pressure and tension. K2 did fit with scenery, but if they take the sign down, it won't be missed that much. It was a pretty low profile operation. Just wondering what will happen to the building. Probably will become a tofu factory.
