Echoing the thread on maximum pc this time. Looking for custom builds primarily here. I bet ssh has some behemoth of a system to show us...

WD raptor 74 as boot drive
WD caviar 250 for everything else
Nvidia 6800 gs in case, 7900 gtx in the mail
2 gb ddr400 corsair valueselect

LiteOn Combo and DVD+-R drives
Random Fan controller
Samsung 740N 17" flat panel
microsoft natural keyboard
Canon Pixma MP500 printer (perfect photo quality)

what does that mean? there'll be no MP600? how does Perfect Photo Quality fit within the scheme of planned obsolescence?

It would help with the noise, but it's expensive. I only keep 1 fan on while doing anything other than gaming. However, all the fans are necessary once that 7900 starts getting hot. The machine is like a portable space heater for my bedroom; I never expected it to generate so much heat.

By the fact that you ask I would guess you have some knowlege of custom machines. Post yours and be the first to actually respond to the thread...:
