Its also dumping big time here in New Zealand, with most of our ski areas due to open this week or next with the best early season conditions for a decade:

Yeah, they do, but the bottom one is Mount Hutt where one of the larger commercial areas is located, about an hour's drive from Christchurch in the South Island.

from the horses mouth...

Greetings Skiers & Snowboarders,

This is Las Lenas Vacations with a major snow update on the latest massive storms to blanket Las Lenas. In the history of Las Lenas, this is some of the best early season conditions we've seen.

This past week alone it has snowed over 60 inches at the base and 150 inches at the summit. The resort opens June 16th and will the deepest early season powder seen in years.

Hotels and apartments are selling out quickly. The Escorpio Hotel is already sold out for many weeks and the Piscis and apartments have only a few rooms left.

If you are interested in getting out of the summer heat and visiting South America for some of the best freeride skiing and snowboarding in the world, please call me ASAP at 1-888-527-5362 or email me at dan@laslenasvacations.com to make your reservation.

P.S. Below are some Las Lenas storm photos from this week.
