I presonally like MSP's much better, but then again TGR does have some great films also

For me, TGR hands down especially early TGR. Continuum is classic ski porn. Tangerine Dream is a classic to be. MSP is to oriented to the park for me. In addition, TGR has better music. Now,how about Waiting Game and Immersion? Both are fantastic.Overall though nothing comes close to the Stump Foursome: Blizzard of AHH's, Groove , Ptex, Lies & Duct Tape...and License to Thrill. I therefore conclude that your poll is fundamentally flawed

NPR.
I like both. And don't forget the little guy Omen productions. Team13 Echo was also a very good film this past year but they went out of business.

All polls are flawed.

TGR makes VERY good trailers. The trailer of the trailer was quite amusing, and the trailer of The Tangerine Dream just captured my mind. Great music, timing with the music, scenery, and action. What more would you want?

MSP by far. Poorboyz is good for park stuff too.

MSP. TGR has too much boring hippy soul searching crap.

Whoever said MSP is too park riented probably hasn't seen Yearbook or Hit List. They really aren't as park oriented as they used to be, they're about 70/30 now.

the best park oriented film company is Level 1 Productions. their film Shanghai Six had some absolutely jaw dropping stuff in it but was handicapped by a low budget which resulted in a lack of diversity of locales. hopefully the succes of S6 will prvide a little more $$$ for travel.

Most of MSP's park sections are courtesy of poorboyz, if you read the credits. I first noticed this in focused, where I saw some of the exact same sequences as in ready fire aim (poorboyz). Warren Miller uses some poorboyz sections too.

Watch ready fire aim or war, great movies.

TGR why wasnt Bill Heath listed up there?

I lose patience when films alude to the weed. They sound like a bunch of loadies justifying something. Black's wearing a tourbin, jumpin offa rocks. yet, MSP also has some slacky skiers. (cough... pollard... cough
But, I own all of both company's movies. I'm not even going to enter the debate as to which has better skiing. Very different filming styles from different personalities from different parts of the states.

They both suck!! Both promote this bro-bra cali surfer attitude that
never existed in the mts. until these stupid movies came out. Last
MSP movie I went to we walked out on, 12 year olds urban rail sliding for half the movie aint my idea of entertainment!

Meathead

I second Meathead Films.

'Born From Ice' was the movie of the year. It also shows what eastern skiing CAN be.

Kristian's helmet cam shot in 'elevator shaft' was the sickest shot in any movie I watched last year.
