Bear Demographics?

I am curious as to what demographics exsist for this group....not for any business reason I am just curious. My perception is the majority of the ACTIVE people on this forum are from the Northeast USA and are 45-50...

On TGR the group is obviously younger and I suspect are heavily biased to the West.

A poll perhaps?

So... why not set up a poll?

I think there is one somewhere.

I am also curious about the demo of the Bears. I did quite a few polls on the subject -- perhaps too many!

May I humbly submit this poll from last year as a place to start?

Don't know how!

How in-depth should it be?

Male / female?

Regions? i.e. West / Rockies / East / International?

Approximate age groups?

Days skied?

All input would be appreciated!

Those all seem like worthwhile questions. It really depends on what you want to know. Of course, as one of the admins here, I don't dare ask these kinds of questions!

The instructions for polling are in the FAQ:

Whoa! I can't believe it was that long ago. You know, us old geezers like nothing better than to talk about the past.

My guess is that although the overall numbers have increased, the distribution by age, gender, experience, etc. probably has changed very little.

Steve, a question: It used to be very easy to set up a multi-question poll, then, after a forum software upgrade, it became impossible to do this and one could only set up single question polls. What's the latest on this?

I believe that multi-question polls work in vBulletin currently. Let me do some research...

Nope. I was wrong. Single question only... Perhaps in a future vBulletin release...

Thanks, Steve. I thought I might have been overlooking something.

It's too bad (easy) multi-question polls are no longer possible. It was a fun and easy way to get a lot of info from people.

Cheers,

Tom

PS - BTW, FWIW, your friends never contacted me. ...probably too warm to think about skiing...
