Ok, I found it. It's actually just these and Harb Carvers, and no one over there has tried any of them as far as I can tell...

I think it would be much more difficult to "ski" on asphalt in such a way to create conditions that would have you releasing from any binding.

I still think that the reason some people have "pre-release" problems with Markers is at least partially technique-related. I also know that the forces on the bindings for an asphalt carver are quite different than those that impact a ski while in normal skiing environments (reverse camber, lateral deflection, dramatic reverse-to-over-camber, etc.).

No, I am not. The only sport I am doing in the Jerusalem area (this is where Pisgat Zeev is) is biking. Never tried real skating. I am considering Board Kiting. Do you have them on your beaches? They are of growing popularity here.
