What's really bad, is they look like a Soloman 700 series. Fischer indings are the same. That's Salomon's lower binding with upward toe release. Toepiece doesn't move, but wings move upward. I demoed skis with this binding years ago, I leaned back in anticipation of a ridge and found myself on my ass, coming out of both skis. The shop manager agreed they shouldn't have been on that high a level ski. About 3 years ago, a friend of mine, sponsored by Fischer and a level 15 skier, brought in his new setup, Fischer skis and Fischer bindings ( which I identified as Sol 700s). I warned him, but he said mount them anyway. After the first time he skied them, he walked into the shop and exchanged them for Sol. 900s, He came out rearward also.
Maybe they fixed them since then....
