Chinese Take Out

Talking to another Bear, we all have different likes. What do you eat?

Steamed Dumplings, usually with the homemade hot mustard mixed in with the dipping sauce.
House Fried Rice
Pork Egg Fu Young
General Tso's Chicken
Sesame Chicken
Moo Shu Pork
Beef & Broccoli

Just a few off the top of my head.

Mainline the salt

Spicy tangy wonton
Crabmeat rangoon
Hot & Sour Soup
Singapore noodles, hold the pork, extra curry
Szechwan shrimp, extra pepper.
+ I scour the menu for squid or octopus

But I doubt you can get it in a take out.

Okay...I'll play along, although I try to stay away from chinese food because I eat too much and it doesn't help my girlish figure

Hot and sour soup....yum!
Sczuanne chicken...gotta love spicy food!
and gotta add lots steamed veggies
Husband loves egg rolls but that's not my favorite

What do you mean? We got it as take out from a place in the suburbs close to Boston’s Chinatown. It’s better with Maine Lobsters… Ayup!

We always get "Chinese Food" from a local place called Pan Thai - they have some Thai stuff in addition to the regular, common stuff you expect....

Pork/shrimp/chicken with veggies
Shrimp Summer Roll
Hot & Sour Soup
Chicken & Veggies or Broccoli or Garlic Chicken

In SF, Chinese takeout you can get just about anything you want..

They are happy to take your money and now a lot of places deliver!

Salt Pepper Squid.
Steamed or prepared veggies. I just ask for what's fresh and in season, then make my decision.
Black bean fried clams.
Tomato chicken curry pan fried noodles
Garlic ginger Dungeness crab
Whole steamed rock Cod.

to me, I test any new chinese restraunt by getting Beef and Broccoli (easy to make, but easier to screw up), but given my choice, I go for Hot and Sour soup and Shrimp and Lobster Sauce (but it has to be a brown sauce Lobster Sauce - I still have not found it outside of New England).

Salt Pepper Squid is indeed cooked, and where I get it it's in a tempura-like batter, with a marvelous sauce. The aromas are a killer!
