MOUNTING QUESTION - 07' k2 public enemy's

Size 179, new. Me: 6'0" 200lbs, level 8, 39 years old, 35 years on the sticks.

Question: Been gathering advice on this as I am not super knowledgable on twin mountings and just picked up a pair of these.

If I am to utilize these for all mtn. use...leaving only 10% in the park, 90% everwhere else, where should I mount them???? 1cm in front of the normal K2 line? 2cm?? I will use them in some pow, but have a pair of K2 Chief's that will float me through anything deep.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, especially if you have skied this model and have mounted them. Thanks.

My kid, who's about your size (minus an inch), always mounts his PE's forward about 1.5cm. He skis them all over the mountain, in all conditions.

Thank you coach. That is about what I am hearing so far. Going to get them in about a week via the mail. Hope to have an idea to confirm to by then. Thanks!

I would go at least -7cm from true center.

No offense but it sounds like you have something mixed up here. A park ski's factory line is almost always near true center. True center mounts are great from park but tend to dive the tips in pow. Moving the binding in front would on make it even worse. Have I missed something with these skis? Is the mounting line way way back from true center?

Edit I have ridden these, however in the past the factory line was like two to three cms from true center.

No, your right on...they have this recomened line..I frankly don't know where it is on the ski you know, with relation to "ture center" but it is recomended then they have like 1/2 cm marks if you wish to customize..so far folks have been guiding me to bump it up a bit in front of this line on the PE's. I get them next week...so hope to have some good "specific advise" chalked up by then. Manus on this site has given me the best advice thus far..he is an instructor and skie em..just trying to ask around for opinon;s

Hey man the best advice I can give is go here: www.newschoolers.com
and check out there forum section and post your question in "Ski Equipment", this is a Freestyle ski site.
I was under the thinking that all twintips "center line" was alrdy forward, so I would agree to set your bindings back farther for all-mt. But if you post on that site I said you will get a bunch of responces real quick about this kinda topic there.
