Your Favorite Ski Pictures of Season

I just thought it would be interesting to share some favorite pictures from this season.

First shot is of my wife on chair 8 at Dodge Ridge (CA).

Second shot:

Seems this site only allows one picture per post.

The second shot was taken on chair 3 also at Dodge Ridge. It was my last run of the season at Dodge. My son and I were going to ski “The Face” and were surprised by this cloud which covered the upper 2/3 of the run. It was a bit strange to ski down an ungroomed black with such limited visibility. White snow and fog. Good thing I knew the run, because there are some large rocks on the upper part of the run that have snow on top of them and then a 10 foot drop. :

We both made it down OK.

December 7, 2005, 4:25 PM from Inspiration overlooking the Ptarmigan Bowl area at Big Mountain. The original was taken with a Canon PowerShot S30. This is reduced in size from that.

It's a series for me, and since I posted a bunch of OK, but no competition with SibHusky's gem, photos on the other thread, these are mostly *new*. . .

My son sees his first flakes of the year, November (22 months old):

My son starts to understand that skiing must be fun, and demands to visit Mommy and Daddy at the hill while his grandparents are watching him, January (24 months old):

My son, wearing Mommy's helmet at the ski condo, all smiles after his first day of skiing, March (26 months old):

Of course I don't have a photo of him on skis, since they took him out while I was up on the hill myself (bad mother, I am), but next year I am guessing that all my favorite ski photos will be of him.

And of course, since most of you were looking for landscape photos, not photos of my kid, here's the obligatory CO landscape, with my now-flatlander-east-coast-living-brother-in-law heading into Copper Bowl under a funky lenticular cloud.

This can't compare with either sibhusky's or faisal's b&w panorama from Alta, but I thought that this panorama of Peaks 8 and 9 at Breck was remarkable considering the date that it was taken- November 20! Pretty good for early season.

It's a digital picture. Probably taken "automatic". According to the "properties" on one of the less-messed with (i.e larger) versions, the exposure was 1/1000 sec., F4.

I guess this must be my favorite because in addition to posting it before, it's also my desktop. There's good colors and even a skier in it, though that was an accident, actually it was supposed to be a pic of a friend of mine flying through the air, but I guess he's just off camera to the right. I couldn't see him until he was in the air, and he flew by before I knew it. Oh well, it's a snowy pic of the East Cliffs at Montana Snowbowl.
