bent volant machete

...anyone ever successfully re-set the camber on a bent volant?
front end of one of my machetes doing a bit of spatula...am thinking i'll try to bend it back to keep it on the snow, and let weight when skiing do the rest...
if there are any shops known to do this repair, all the better...

thanks comprex...i should have known this would have come up already.
i guess i should let the other one bend to match...if i can only figure out when i did it!:

i do have to wonder if a flat spring could be bolted to the topsheet, sortof like the piston found on the volkl/marker setup...

I am surprised it took you this long to bend them. Other that MY FB, ( had about 4 days on them) I bent every V2 Volant I had.

Find me a source of sheet LiquidMetal. The idea would be to machine LM to fit onto the sidewalls, extending Noodler's idea of removing the side fiberglass.

Volant Machete

I bent a Volant Machete back when they were "Volant," not some smarmy european company. The shop sent back the ski and Volant let me pick whatever model ski I wanted to replace it!!! The skis were only about 1 month old, but still, what fantastic customer service. You may want to give that a try.
