I came across a web page I thought would interest this bunch of avid skiers. Leave your excuses at the door: Rusty Squire is a desk jockey (investment broker) and arguably the most fit man on skis.

About 15 years ago, there was a one-time contest at Jackson Hole called the "Iron Skier".
The course consisted of hiking from the tram up the Cody Peak ridge to the top of Four Shadows Couloir, which was where the race *started*. The skiers raced down Four Shadows (48 degrees at the top) and then skied/traversed over to a road leading back to the top of the tram. They then changed to running shoes and ran - at 10,000 feet elevation - to the top of Corbet's Couloir. There, they changed back into ski boots and jumped into Corbet's. From there, it was a Super G race course all the way down 4,000 vertical feet to the base at Teton Village.
Some of the contestants were puking before they even got to the top of Corbet's.
Rusty Squire was the winner.
