Welcome to Cordwood Airlines. In preparation for takeoff, please ensure that the pasenger in front of you is in the upright and locked position. Thank you for choosing Cordwood Airlines.

I wonder if there will be treadmill and non-treadmill seating?

Even though Airbus is denying it. It sure paints a funny picture. At least you won't have to stand up to let the window passenger leave for the restroom.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Airlines and aircraft makers are always looking to get the most passengers possible onto planes, but Airbus is denying a report that it is in discussions with carriers about having a standing room "seat" to fit even more passengers on its jets.

The New York Times reported that Airbus has quietly pitched the standing-room-only option to Asian carriers, though none have agreed to it yet. But a spokeswoman for Airbus flatly denied the report Tuesday, going so far as to call it "crap." ...."

Think of the knee room!

It wouldn't be exactly standing if each station had a bitty bike saddle, oh, a Unica-Nitor might do.

Here's a link to the NYT article:

They even had a picture!
I think that the next step is to require children and all passengers under 5'2" (5' on international flights) be be stored in the overhead bins, but be sure to be careful when opening them because contents may have shifted during landing.

I saw a follow up to this. Apparently is was an idea someone at Airbus threw out at a meeting a couple of years ago and was instantly rejected. But now that it's out there in the public, some stupid airline will probably take it seriously and try to make it happen.
