Should the endless thread finally end? You decide. This could be great entertainment over the summer, or tedious background noise. So the proposal is should a moderator lock the thread after a 24-hour notice it is ending, or should the thread continue through the summer?

Didn't you want to make this a poll, Cirque?

Ok, I voted and its now 100 percent to nothing

I enjoyed getting to know the deepest hibernating secrets of many bears, including the concealed desire of ssh to be the most prolific poster on EpicSki. So, I vote to continue the thread. A place for misdirected misfeasance and unabashed post padding to continue.

Does my vote count?

Flawed.
Option 3 missing: end it after three weeks of no new posts and declare the winner.

I am not ready for the thread to end yet. I've not posted there. When the time comes, I'll make a post and the thread will die.

Why ever would we want to give it an unnatural death? It's a source of great amusement.

Remember what happened on April 1, 2006 when it "went away" for awhile? Boy, I sure don't want to go through that again. If that thread is ever closed, the rain will fall down on our heads, like,..... well,..... snow. Only it will be six inch hail.

Not while we are #1!

#3 should say:

Wait, I have not posted the LAST one yet!

Should the "Should the Endless Thread End" thread end?

That's the real question.

I expect that the ultimate thread killer is not posting on the thread called "the ultimate thread killer". Such a brightness of attention causes such to shy away into the shadows of obscurity where a thread can truely die.

Oboe:

Could you elaborate on your last post?

Thy will be done!

Once thou has created a thread deemed endless;

You cannot, by spurious whim simply change the course of events.

Thou hath created the Endless Thread and as such it shall live!

No inqusition or purge by the Moderators will be able to succeed, somewhere at any time the Holy Endless Tread, like the Phoenix will rise from the ashes.
