Quit whining and just do it.
So let me get this straight: because you have money in the bank, some equity in things you own, and some friends you bore at the bar you think it's harder to move?? Sometimes that little voice in the back of your head telling you to keep climbing the corporate ladder isn't your own.
The hardest part is just making the decision to move. The rest of the stuff is easy: renting a place, getting a job, etc. I wouldn't bother instructing, it's completely overrated and not very condusive to skibumming. So step #1: put your place up for rent on Craig's List, cancel your cable and TV service, get in your car and leave.
