BakerBoy has a point. It's probably better to go with jeans and gators. It's a much better look.

The traditional lore is that Gore-TEX as a fabric was an accident/unintended use of the original invention by one of the Gores (Lesley?). Thus it's main current use was "discovered"

Oh, and I loved my one piece suits.

I must say that these two snowboard girls can wear their one piece disco suits anytime they want at snowbird. as long as they dont complain cause the normally respectful bushwacker couldnt stop staring the entire way up.

Yes, the company was founded based on the (then revolutionary) use of PTFE for jacketing cable/wiring.

Eh? What's that about Goretex? More info, please! I'm goretex's greatest fan, as we often ski in all-day downpours here in Oz, so it's interesting.

11 years into making high end wire insulation, the son discovered ePTFE. I haven't seen anything about how exactly he made that discovery/invention, but I'm sure that it would be an interesting story.

That's amazing, I had no clue it came from teflon, and none that it was used in so many things. wow. And goretex knees!

and as you posted int he other related thread and i quote im a ski nut and love skiing i always wear a one piece skisuit all the time when on the slopes i find them warm and comfy also practical also thier is a fun side to wearing a ski suit my partner likes me in mine so i can be his ski bunny wich can be a lot off fun after a hard days skiing (first time we did this we had a disaster my partner took my skisuit off went to throw it on a chair missed the chair and landed in the fire nearly burning the place down but sorted it out luckliey two years ago that happend funny to look back on but not at the time) all in all one piece skisuits are handy and practical allways choose a good qulity one lookforward to other peoples comments close quote

and as i posted in reply and i quote so you like suits cause they have no punctuation that you dont need anyway if you wear a suit when you ski on the snow in the winter wherever you may be skiing at the time as long as your partner likes you in you ski suit and god knows where else after skiing i mean (and am waiting to hear if the suit was replaced after the disaster when it accidently got thrown into the fireplace while the new york yankess now officially are out for the season so where whatever you really like) who cares what other people might say close quote

The Yankees are really eliminated ?
Let's have a bonfire and burn our old ski suits that no longer fit or are otherwise not deemed worthy while celebrating this momentus occasion.

A nice shell in the powder is great tho. None of that snow up into the nether regions. Haven't used one for a few years tho
