That's good to hear.
Epic has lost some very valuable contributors. Some explain their reasons and others just drift away. Personally, I think it can be very useful to know why someone chooses to leave. Certainly that's true with especially knowledgeable and longtime members. Beta Racer certainly is in that category.
Change is inevitable. However, Epic Ski is ultimately defined by its common denominator. When members who add a lot of value here drop out, the Epic community is poorer for it. I hope that Beta Racer and others like him will take a deep breath and decide to return.
It's good to see Bob Barnes, Vail Sno Pro, Tog and others like them drop in from time to time. They've been missed. Anyone who recalls when they posted regularly here can appreciate how much they contributed to the quality and growth of Epic Ski.
New members infuse new blood and often bring new perspectives which are indispensible to the future of Epic Ski. For some, it takes awhile to get dialed into the flavor here and we need to make fair allowance for that.
I'm here for the value Epic Ski gives me, my own contributions being very modest, at best. I suspect that's true for most of us. I became a "Supporter" as my chief means of giving back something for all that I've gained here.
It is important to do what can be done to maintain the core of knowledgeable, intelligent contributors who will attract those of like kind as well as those like me, who are mostly here to gain something of value. If we cannot continue to succeed at this, Epic Ski could ultimately become merely another chat room of little interest to anyone. I remain fairly optimistic that Epic Ski can avoid that result.
