Who can blame them. And yes, I am SO off Bode.

That's ok. Not a big thing. I just hope they don't feel they got burned and well not help a more deserving skier in the future.

So... the space on the helmet is for rent again. What about "Epicski.com" up there?
I´m sure Bode would prefer "Budwiser".. lol

Might I recommend:

T....Ted E....Erik (Schlopy) D....Daron

I dunno.. I don´t have anything against Ted, but.. Bode is much more fun to talk to...

So I'll stick with "BED" (although Bode really acts like an idiot sometimes and Daron got retired..)

Most gifted people are a-holes...some just hide it better. The same goes for musicians as well. Hence the reason good bands break up ( and get back together and break up and get back together)

Yeah.. I so agree with you!

I like Bode.. no matter what.. he´s been always really funny and nice to us.. and that really counts to me!

The article on the pasta company has nothing really negative on it, if you read it the way I did. Bode's three year contract has ran out, like with other people's. So?

Unfortunately, the article was written by a person who does not like Bode Miller. In many places, the reporter wrote subjectively, writing "supposed" happenings, and what Miller "supposed" to have said, rather than what was correct.

That's "i" before "e" except in Budweiser.

The quotes from Barilla in the news article are examples of "corporate nice-speak." That doesn't mean that they are mad at Bode ... or that they aren't. We just don't know. There was evidently always a possibility of continuing the sponsorship beyond the initial three-year term, or they wouldn't have drafted an option to extend it into the agreement. But the decision not to extend could have to do with all sorts of things, including the size of their marketing budget, advice on strategic direction from their ad agency, etc. A minor side point: Barilla's website says they sponsored Tomba from 1992 to 1997, but that's neither here nor there.

For what it's worth, I thought the AP article was completely ordinary, non-subjective and, indeed, kind of bland. There's nothing in there that isn't straight facts, and it pretty much hits the main facts you'd expect a reporter to put into it.

Budweiser would be interesting. Tragically, he can't take Miller Beer, since Anheuser-Busch is a "protected" corporate sponsor of the USSA.

Media just suxx sometimes! OK. Bode does some things we all don´t really understand from time to time, but.. some media are just waiting for something, they could write a negaive article about...

One contributing factor that may have influenced Barilla to not extend the contract is Bode's own admission that he isn't sure what he's going to do in the seasons to come.

At the end of April BODEFEST at Bretton Woods, Bode has had a standing bet. If you beat his time down the course, he'll make you a pasta dinner. I wonder if that will be in effect this year?

Andrew Weibrecht of Lake Placid New York likes pasta.

J-1's can eat lots of pasta.

Bode, don't forget the bread.
