Schmidt said in one of his interview that he mostly cared about air time, not skiing away from landing.

Yes - Rob Holmes is alive and well. He is the master of calculated, unlandable Monster hucks. He can do a huck like that several times in a day. It's amazing, but he doesn't really seem to get hurt. He knows exactly how to hit and disperse the energy. He's been known to wear football pads.
