Best April Fools day jokes

I thought it might be fun to share some of the best April Fools day jokes, that have either been played on you or that you have successfully played on another.

My husband and I had been married a couple years and weren't ready for children yet. I bought a pregnancy test and used food coloring to make the little dot look like I was pregnant. I never said anything to him....just left it on the bathroom counter.
I forgot about it until late in the day he said..."Are we going to talk about our.......stuff.....that's......uh......happening? "
I said April Fools and he nearly lost it! That was fun!

My father has been into sailboats since I was a kid. When I got married, I lived in Annapolis, about 3-4 miles from where my father kept his boat. One spring, he asked me to check on the boat when I got a chance, because he hadn't been able to check on it in a few weeks.

So, a week or two later, on April 1st, I gave him a call and told him it looked like the mast had been hit by lightening, because all of the electronics were fried, and it might have melted one of the through-hulls (this is common with lightening stikes), and the inside of the boat was knee deep in water, and the boat was resting on its keel in the slip, and slumped over, hanging from the dock lines.

That was meaner than what I did! You didn't share your dad's response! Bet it wasn't good.

He rushed out of work and drove an hour to get to the boat. By that time, I had stuck a note on it saying "April Fools!".

Actually, my dad has a good sense of humor, so he took it well. He owned a condo where he kept the boat, and he called me from there. He just laughed and said it was a nice day to have left work early, so he was sitting on the porch drinking a martini.

All in good fun.

As a person who this joke was played on, I can verify it did happen. :

Pretty sad to say I was pretty bent about and I ended up getting into a little scirmish with my wife over it... My point was all the time I had devoted to it and her point was get a life.

Like 99% of the time she was right!:

Yes indeed... One thing 17 years of marriage has taught me is to admit when I am wrong... It just torks me to be wrong so often.

When we first bought the house we're in now, there was discussion about the property lines. There is a stand of wonderful pines at the rear of our property, and we found out that we don't own any of them. Since the house next door was also for sale, we were concerned, naturally.

The neighbors house sold a month later, and their first order of business was to rip out some bushes lining the driveway. It was such a waste!

On the first April Fools day, I called Jeff at work and in a panicky voice said, "The neighbors have tree removal stuff here and they're logging all those pine trees behind our house!" I hung up satisfied that he was sitting at work stewing about this, and went on with my housework. After a few minutes, I forgot about the call.

Suddenly the door opens and he flies in wanting to know where the trucks went! He left work to come home see if he could 'talk em out of it'. My 'April Fool' was most welcome after I had stopped laughing.

I liked Monday April 3's Arlo and Janice comic. Went something like--

Arlo: We're out of coffee
Janice: Really?
Arlo: April Fools!
Janice: Today is April 3rd.
Arlo: It's April Fools Day observed.
Janice: Really?
Arlo: April Fools!
At this point Janice just gives a very confused look.

Kind of a paradox, Arlo's last statement.
