I endo'd, and rolled forward off my back, and the tail drove itself into the snow, and CRACK... the bimbo skied off on her way-too-expensive Vokyls (the ones I coveted at the time), and I had to limp off the hill on a ski-n-a-half.
Was the only pair I'd broken since graduating off of 'woodies' as a child... until I bent a pair of Lacroix Mach III's.
HI ZENmud ! It seems we "talk" with a one year interval, ehehe.
I broke mine (coloured red white green as the Italian flag) as well, right behind the binding heel, in a tight turn on a bump on a narrow "road" in the trees.
Actually I broke two pairs, years later I had a second pair of Freyries (maybe F40? Gold and Black...but I'm not sure of any of these details, except that they were 185cm), this time I bent the tip of one, again, in a bump...
As a side note, my mom still skis on a pair of Prime skis...
