Hi folks,

My wife has just completed her first full season of skiing -- we've gone a bunch of times, but mostly to easy hills. She can make it down blues at Alyeska (Alaska), but not quickly. My guess is she's a level 5 skier. She's not interested in sking with hair on fire, but has fun on the slopes. Age 32, 5'6", 145 lbs (don't tell her I told you).

She's been on season rentals (Rossignol Edge 150s) and is looking for her own pair of skis for the future. We look to ski 15-20 times a year next year, again, likely mostly groomed stuff with her.

This forum has been helpful in helping me with my ski choices (see Fischer RX series question recently), and I'm hoping you might shed some light on our potential choices here. As a somewhat tentative skier without a lot of off-piste ambition (if any), I don't think she's ready for (or interested in) a high performance ski. Looking around and reading reviews for women's skis leads me to consider K2 Sweet Luv as a ski to consider for her at this point. Probably 153 cm (but would 160 be OK?)

What are your thoughts on this ski? Anything else I should consider for a skier of her abilities? Something smooth, forgiving, etc.

Thank you very much,
