I was told that the 2002/2003 Atomic C9.18W is the same ski as the mens except for the colour. Is this true? I am an intrmdt. skier and want to upgrade. I can get a killer dear on the 9.18's, but will they will work for a guy of 200lbs!?
My local Atomic Rep said the same thing, color is the only difference. That and the "women's" model come with 3.10 bindings, the "mens" have 3.11's.
I'm 6-2, 200 lbs and didn't care for the C:9 at all. It felt too soft and dead to me in a 160 (possibly a 170 would have given me a better ride?), but my wife loves hers. It all depends on what type of ski you prefer and type of terrain you prefer.
In the C:9's defense, I took it down a bump run on a powder day the one and only run I took with it. That's the wrong terrain for that ski, it likes groomers, I do not [ November 18, 2003, 05:19 AM: Message edited by: Taylormatt ]
