Any idea what the date is?

they should be closed now. I got a half day pass today on my way back from jay to find 12" high piles of 7-11 slurpee alternating with patches of glare ice. Very odd conditions. Before jay we skied tremblant for a few days in the warmth and even late in the day it didnt look half as bad. We asked for a refund as the snow report called for loose granular and packed powder, not ice and water. Maybe you should try someplace else.

This does not sound good at all. I was looking for a spot to ski with my kid when he comes home from Maine in early April.

Whiteface at 5 hours was "doable".

belleayre today was brutal mash potatoes with ponds on the flat parts. bumps were really nice, though. just during the day the amount of ground that was lost was remarkable. the main quad lift (super?) was very difficult to get through because of melt-off in the afternoon. The Tomahawk lift was serving some good stuff, though. The bumps were nice and soft. The blue runs were ponds, in the flatter parts, though.

Squaw took a lot of powder this week according to my bud out there. I think NY State is done for this year, I'm afraid. I did get a heck of a sunburn yesterday, though.

The pixs below where taken 4/2/06 in the morning. By the time I hit the trails left bumped, Wilderness, Lower MacKenzie and Upper Cloudspin the battries in my cheapo camera where used up, they where big, soft and ever so sweet.

I'm glad they stayed open.

The day I was there it was also warmer in the morning and began to cool as the day went on so the slush was starting to set up again when we got there...trust me it was bad...
