My layers are:

1) capilene t-shirt and polartec lightweight boxer-briefs
2) polartec lightweight long underwear, tops and bottoms
3) as needed in colder weather: additional polartec lightweight zip t-neck -or- polartec light waffle fleece zip t-neck
4) smartwool ultra thin ski socks
5) convert waterproof/breathable snowboard pants (roomier and more pockets than most ski pants)
6) North Face Mountain Light goretex XCR shell -or- Mountain Hardware Mountain Tech Windstopper fleece jacket
7) for 35F and above in dry weather, Seirus softshell gloves. For colder or wet weather, Kombi insulated goretex gloves.
8) normally wear a helmet (with a seirus skull cap liner inside) but break out a lightweight Swix wool hat, or no hat, in warmer weather.
