Yea, thin is all over new england. even at peak this year, most places were operating with a base depth of like, 24". So, you probably wont benefit too much by driving the extra.
Mt. Snow was nice, too...the main lodge was a friggen zoo, but we stopped for lunch upstairs at the Midstation...best lodge food I ever had, and it wasn't exceptionally busy, and less expensive than the cafeteria!
Cgrandy...you werent wearing anything like a huge fur coat or DaGlo or anything that I would have remembered, were you? It was quite an interesting collection of gapers there, this weekend. From the guy with the Mink coat, neon everywhere, a guy with gym pants (with the stripe down the sides, no less,) with the back drooped down to reveal Levi's and a plaid flannel...and even a guy in a cow-print speed suit. it was amazing.
they all come out of the woodwork at this time of year, I guess!
