Phil's rules say: They have to be from skiing lore, past or present.

Paul's blues harp is formidable, but unless he can play it on a blue groomer, he's off the lift!

From Phil's Bumpfest last year. Buckethead, Alfonse (With the overbite), Lil Miss Alfonse and yours truely.

There are so many Bears I want to put on this lift, that I would need a tram.

Ingemar Stenmark (If there is a ski god on earth) , Daron Rahvles (I think Hemingway said, to paraphrase, that as we got older it was harder to find heroes, but still important.), Pope John Paul II (Yep, sure was a skier).

Phil, can I have a gondola instead of a quad lift? There are way to many that I want to ride the lift with I dont' want to leave any out.

Last year I was stuck on a lift at Sun Peaks with David Suzuki for 30+ minutes. Driving up the day before that my wife and I had done the "who would you invite to dinner? 1 living person, 1 from history" thing.

Suzuki was my answer and hers.

One day after "hanging out" with Mr. Suzuki, I shared a lift with 3 speed skiers. They were just great. I'd watched them ski 100mph all weekend. When we parted I told them it was an honour to share the lift with them, and I meant it.

1) Wayne Wong this fella is the godfather of freestyle skiing
2) Ken Read
3) Steve Podborski

the last 2 fellas are the founding mambers of the crazy canucks ski team. They are also pioneers in their disipline.
