having already shared rides up with scsa and crud...
SchwarzeneggerRedfordVlad(would've added Bob Peters but I know we'll share a chair sometime. And, boy, do I have questions.)at Sun Valley
I think Arnie would dominate the conversation, float out his most attention-getting cigar, ask why I brought Redford girly-man instead of Hermann, then try to
show us how on one of the autobahn-type runs down which he'd aim his 190-something Atomic GS'ers.
"Bob" would get a little restless, I think, and start picking at his ear canals like too much noise had been trapped inside, and after awhile start purposely falling back, maybe playing with falling leaf exercises, knowing Arnie'd get a little aggravated - "vutt eess weess zeess girly-mahn, playingk veesss heess uber-feminine turns? Fachen zeess, Arnold doesn't wait." And off he'd speed, then he'd stop, yell back up the hill, and point toward Ketchum.
"Ach, you cannot see it, girly-boys. but over dere eess mein mountain castle. 18-souzandt square feet of manly lumber and antlers from what I have keeled veess mein own incredibly powerful - Ach, even I am skeered of Arnold sometimes - hands!
How big is YOUR house, Mr. Wishes He Was Paul Newman?"
That would be a rhetorical question, as Arnie would be turned and downhill, like, right now.
"Bob" would fiddle with his ears again, shrug, ask for the soft-focus lens, realize there wasn't a camera around, and happily resume with his soft, stylish, short-radius turns. I'd have to let Arn go, 'cause really I want to talk to Redford about maybe remaking Downhill Racer and maybe casting me in Some Small Role.
I'd hope Vlad would hang with us, 'cause I know even Redford likes a good story, and I think Vlad's got a few.
Have a feeling, though, he'd bomb away like Arnold, off for some Sun Valley "talent." Just have to catch up at the Cellar Pub, if nobody minds a few fair shares of Guinness.
