Ski Recommendations

Thread Starter
I am 5'7, 190 lbs and I am 44 years old. I am a very good (not great) skier. I have been skiing for over 20 years all over the world. I live in Phoenix now and I can only get out for maybe 20 days a year. I am looking for a front side carver with plenty of power and quickness. I have narrowed my choices to these (we phoenix people don't get to demo that much, when we arrive, we ski), Volkl 2006 five star, Volkl 2007 s5, Volkl 2006 Allstars, Fischer 2006 rx8 and Fischer 2007 Firecross w/flow flex. The lenghts I am looking at will be around 165 to 168. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

These are all great skis for an experienced skier who stays on-piste. Each will not ski snow deeper than 6 inches as well as a mid-fat, but will be quick and stable on the groomed.

Question, Where did you find info on the Fischer Firecross? Can you provide details?

Best regards,
