Don't know what that means either but I'm sure it's some type of insult...
Keep in mind, I didn't call anyone a gaper, never have, and never will.
It seems that people have somehow linked "gaper" to skiing ability. Most of the time I hear the term it's criticizing people because they are doing things that anyone would normally do in an unfamiliar place. Thus, my comment about Pierre.
WHoa baby -- you need to get that chip off your shoulder -- I thought "I" had an attitude about calling people names!
First of all - a Gold pin means PSIA level III certified instructor. Pierre - IIRC - has a gold pin ---- yes even though he is from OHIya.
"By all you great non-gaper skiers" ---- ummm, well since I've only been at this a year, I'm maybe only a half-step above gaper, so --- chill baby.
"but I'm sure it's some type of insult..." ---- Ummm, well you'd be SURE but WRONG. I was making a joke that it could be Pierre's new NICKname online.
You really need to take that cinderblock off your shoulder - it would be alot more comfortable, and you'd better be able to hear the HUMOR from folks around here.
