I read every post on the subject, I really learn a lot and have a lot of respect for some of the above. However one thing I did notice is the most emphatic statements on "don't talk too much" was by the biggest talker on Epic in the past couple of weeks = VLAD. Credibility is suffering, how can one believe you don't talk on the hill when you are the most prolific talker on any subject. Don't get mad at me, I will freely admit I'm not an expert on everything. However I am a good listener. When I teach talk is kept to a minimum however I do at all times try to connect with the student(s) to gauge their understanding, wants and dislikes etc.,sometimes this is done verbally. Because of my not being as experienced(5yr) teaching I look and listen a lot because of my experience and former expertise.

one's online conduct and one's lesson conduct need not be remotely similar.
my classes involve precious little talk, save for those privates where
pupils request more explanation of the 'whys'.
if you have an issue with my online verbosity, how about you ignore it, OK?
seems the most ratpacking i have to deal with on this board is levelled at me by relatively green instructors.
c'mon out and take a free lesson with me, lad, and then post some judgements.
this board certainly suffers some extremely selective moderation, that's for sure.
