Out of all of them, I'd say the Head RD96 was the most upright, and the stiffness contest was a tie (for me) between the racetech medium and the x2 medium.
Yeah, I'm looking for a boot that won't allow my knees to go too far forwards. 6'3", 250 lbs with bad knees hanging out over the toes is a recipe for disaster.
That's why I was thinking they ought to be very upright, but I did not consider how stiff they ought to be. I prefer a forgiving and easy to balance boot when cruising gently, yet that does not do so well when pushed aggressively... too many defensive moves start to creep in.
