Where's the best place to park at each area to have the easiest access to the "Expert Terrain" (steeps, bumps, & Trees)?
What area of each resort should we heading to for "Expert Terrain".
Any help would be appreciated.
heavenly - california side (near gunbarrell chair), not the others
alpine - doesn't matter
squaw - doesn't matter alot
sugar - the main lot (first one), not the judah lot
kirkwood - near timbercreek I would say.
2. access to expert
heavenly - closest is gunbarrell, eventually - other lifts get you to mott/killebrew, lots of trees in various places, lots of bumps on big dipper.
alpine-take the express lift that goes to the top. some expert to the left of that and another lift to access that part. more expert at top of scott with trees and steeps and bumps. more expert accessible from top of sherwood crossing back to lakeview chair with very steeps
squaw- someone else explain this
sugar - not a whole lot of expert imho, narrow and rocks confine them.
kirkwood - mucho expert and cornices with open bowls and some volcanic rocks. less trees and more open. if you park at timbercreek, stay to the left at top of that lift and go to cornice express and.or wall. The backside also has more steep cornices and chutes between cliffs. takes a few more lifts (none express), to get to and up backside.
3. snow - pray for some new. read justinrichards post about kirkwood without fresh snow. you'll probably be stuck in a snowstorm monday according to current weather forecast so you'll have to take tuesday off sick.
