Moguls: P18's. Aerials: S916's.

Anybody else notice this at the olympics? I think it has to do with the s916's not having an upward toe release.

You are correct.

I did notice the P18 in the moguls. Reinforces that they have a high degree of elastic travel.

I can't bring myself to watch aerials.

I did notice a lot of Markers as well. No pre-releases that I saw..... Reinforces that all bindings work well, even at the highest levels of competition. Also reinforces that any bad rep that Marker has is unwarranted.

I didn't see any markers in aerials last night, only S916's and S900 race stock. Even on Volkls.

That said, marker 15-30 din (or 8-18) aren't the same as the 14 din binding....but neither are the S916 or p18.

This took me about a second to find...... I'm sure there are many more.

Nice flexons. Dale Begg Smith is also on some Red/Yellow Flexons.

They must have missed the memo...

Begg-Smith won the gold, didn't he???? Maybe everyone else missed the memo.

Yeah. The memo that the "new and improved" Krypton replaced the Flexon...the one that has been floating around here.

Evidently if a 21 year old is winning olympic moguls in 2006 on them, flexons haven't been improved on all that much.

I ski a pair of '02-'03 flexon pro's (new to me this year), with metal buckles off a 9.9, thermoflexes, and a very stiff race toungue that has to be around a 120 flex index. 5th season in them, and I will not be going to Kryptons unless they release a true plug version of the boot (not the low volume liner they just started offering).

is the picture posted of the japanese skier who ripped the toepiece out of the ski on a bad landing? obviously not that run, but in qualifiers?

i noticed looks/sallys dominated most freestyle events with a few markers thrown in (but only on volkl athletes iirc) i'm guessing those athletes would have a "must use clause"

WOW! Didn't see that one! See? Markers will hold you in.... the ski fails before the toe will release!

Here's what happens when you try inverts with markers:

THAT is hilarious...... and scary.

In Focused Shane McConkey lost a ski while ski-basing, the shock of the chute opening sent one of his skis flying even though nothing touched the ski.

Here's another hilarious part...... check out Bean's skis and Bindings: (he's the one with the Rossi's)

What am I missing here.........?

O.K., I'll spell it out......

You posted a video of the guy with his skis flying off.

The guy's name is Jeff Bean.

You are anti Marker, pro Look/Rossi. (P18 specifically)

The picture I posted is of Jeff Bean.

Bean, (the guy whose skis flew off), uses Look P18's.
