I suppose that if you haven't skied the men's version, you wouldn't notice a difference no matter what your skill level. As BetaRacer says, the binding location is moved forward on a woman's ski to compensate for their body. Although I do not recall the exact amount, I have no reason to doubt his comment that it is moved forward 15mm.
What I can tell you is that I have owned five pairs of Atomic skis in which the binding can be slid into three or four different positions. You can move the binding forward for better carving or back for deeper snow or speed. I believe each position moves the binding around 7mm - I measured this on my current Atomics. (What is the actual number...BetaRacer?
Each position greatly affects the skis behavior. Friends of all levels who ski Atomics agree with this observation as they have noticed a pretty big difference also. As a result, I would expect the 15mm difference in binding location on the woman's ski would make the ski turn very quickly...perhaps too quickly. Stability at speed may also be affected. Any chance that you can demo a pair?
