Turning radii and ski types

Generally speaking, what is the differnce in between a (1) slalom ski, (2) grand slalom, and (3) downhill ski. I realize the major difference is the radii of the turn where the radii would increase from 1-2-3 as listed above.

What radii are we talking and what else sets them apart?

Not trying to stir up another this ski is better for slalom than that ski...just looking for general info on types of skis, not brand or model specifics.

Thanks,
Scott

SL is usually around a 12m, GS a 21m, and downhill a 45m. The stiffness usually also increases from a SL to a GS to a DH in accordance to the speeds.

No problem.
I just noticed that those turn radii are for modern skis; I have an old pair of SGs with about a 70m radius.
