Moll-Get that kid dancin'

Mollmeister: you promised me and Thatsagirl that you and your kid would do the "lake effect" dance. Since then two storms have missed BOTH of us.

You are letting us down! Another storm is supposed to come through here Thursday or Friday, so.....

Get that kid dancin'!!!!!

lake effect Lake Effect LAKE EFFECT!
Yah, what she said!

Can you believe that huge storm missed us? However, the lake effect dance seems to have kicked in since then. Jay got 4-6 inches yesterday and last night (so did Stowe; Smuggs got 2-3"). More snow is in the forecast for today and the next few days, but I don't want to take anything for granted (look what happened last time I did that).

Lake effect, Lake Effect, LAKE EFFECT!

Must have started the Dance routine. A little snow is falling now. Let's hope it keeps up.

The lake effect dance is music to my ears(eyes)

We got some snow showers here today too! It was pretty steady for awhile, but now it's an occasional flake drifting down. Maybe he's getting tired? Time for a nap, maybe?

Oddly enough, he was dancing just before lunch to his favorite Dan Zanes CD. Then he got cranky, threw lots of lunch on the floor, and went down for a nap. . . So I guess it does work? :

We'll get him dancing after his snooze. . . look for snow showers around 4:30 MST.

Jeez, it sounds like we might be on to something. We need other people to read this post and get THEIR kids doing the snow dance too.

Kinda makes me think of Peter Pan, bringing Tinkerbell back to life.
If you believe in Snow dancing, clap your hands, or do the jitterbug!

Good job Moll and Jr! Keep it up!

I'm not saying it's your fault but I'm going to blame it on you
The snow has stopped and my weather man says this current system is WEAK!

Feed Jr some spinach and give us some lake effect, Lake Effect, LAKE EFFECT!

There's your trouble right there.

It's calypso you really want.

In case of disagreeable side lake effects, go to roots reggae.

I think the kid overshot a bit. My freezing rain in southern Ontario turned into snow.

Well, it's been snowing like crazy down on the CO plains today (and it's--yikes--10F ambient temp and blowing). And Vail got 10in in the last 48 hours. He's doing something right. . . maybe he's confused about geography? He is only two. . .

I think he's doing a darn good job! Our freezing rain is snow too. (Let's hope it stays this way.) Tuesday into Wednesday morning, Jay, Stowe and Smuggs got about 6 inches. Of course, I went to MRG yesterday and they didn't get any of it. But we skied in sunshine and temps in the 40s, so it was a beautiful day to be on the mountain. (But it sure would have been nice to skin in warm temps AND have the powder...I am so greedy!)

Keep it up!

Just got back from snowplowing. Forcast says 11 inches before midnight. That averages out to 2 inches an hour. I'll take that!

Moll, Your kid is doing a great job. If he keeps up the good work, I'll acutally get a chance to ski powder in Michigan

I don't know what kind of ruler the weather man was using, but his 11 inches was more like 5.:

No kidding! How disappointing. Sorry to hear that.

Weather's so freaky here, I can't even describe it. Today we've had 50 degrees, pouring rain, high winds, temps plummeting to 30, hurling snow, now some sun. Mountains are saying they've gotten some accumulation though. We are supposed to ski tomorrow and I have NO idea what to expect! :

5 inches of snow is better than any rain! So I'll be grateful(though disappointed)
Freaky here too!: 30 degrees yesterday with high winds and supposed to be -7 tomorrow. I have plans to ski with little sister tomorrow but may cancel. Depends if the ski addict in me wins out over the "too frigid to ski" part of me.:

As soon as I hit "send", I knew that some of what I've typed in the past two posts could have "pun-ability".

I know .....weather man's measuring imbelishment and "too frigid to ski" are leaving me waaaaaay open for the quick witted. I have enough of a sense of humor to handle it:

So....I may as well start by saying this......I think there are posters on this forum who use the same measuring stick as my local weather man.:

We know what the real measure is don't we????:

Huck said he's been getting all of the lake effect. Happy for him but, Michigan's had no real new snow for over a week!
If he's done with the flu, you need to get him back on the job and see if he can be a little more geographically specific. I just want a few more weeks of decent skiing.......please !
