Regarding my post below regarding DIN settings for a race binding and the reply that race stock bindings are often different from consumer versions, what are the differences in the Tyrolia Free Flex 8/9 and the Free Flex 10, besides the obvious DIN setting? I may buy a pair of Head GS's that require Tyrolia bindings, but all the shop has in stock are the FF8 (DIN of 4-12, a little light for where I set my DIN normally) and the FF10 (DIN of 6-17). Are the release mechanisms the same, and are the guts the same, except for heavier springs? (I know the FF10 doesn't have upward release on the toe, but neither do my Salomon 9-14 FIS's, and they are fine) Or, do the Tyrolia's have different internals? I am planning on using these bindings both in gates and for free skiing.
