Where to Stay at Le Massif ???

Hi All

We're heading to Le Massif on Feb. 16 for 4 days skiing / riding.

We looking for accommodation.

We'd ideally like to have a kitchenette + LR with fireplace and hide-a-bed + 2 bedrooms. Or even 3 bedrooms. Either ski-in/ski-out or as close to the hill as possible. We need space for 2 parents, a young adult + a teen. We don't want to dine out for every meal. But we're on a tight budget.

From experience, we know that accommation quality, condition and service can vary dramatically. So, anyone stayed in the area? What was your experiece? I'd be grateful for as much detail as you care to provide.

There is no on hill lodging. The closest condos are www.leversantdumassif.com , but they are very expensive in my books.

There are a few other options, but most places in that area consist of bed/breakfast and motel/small hotel style lodging. The hotel prices are pretty reasonable. Some hotel/motels do have kitchenettes, so you'll have to get several rooms -- adjoining, if that helps.

The lodging pages at www.lemassif.com are a pretty complete reference as to what is in the area.

Failing that, you could try some accomodation around Mont-Ste-Anne and take a shuttle (or drive) -- 30 minutes or a bit more....
